Injection Molded Heel Counter
A Heel Counter is an insert used to reinforce the heel cup of a shoe and increase support. The heel counter helps lock the foot into the shoe and anchors it to the mid-sole. The Injection Molded Heel Counter in MBT shoes cradles the heel and arch and reduces over-pronation.

Unlike traditional foam, OrthoLite® insole compresses less than 5% over its lifetime—so the cushioning, fit, comfort and performance never change. The open-cell structure creates a moisture management system to help move moisture away and provide a cooler and drier insole. As you can see, the Ortholite insoles are lightweight, ultra breathability, anti-microbial, and washable providing you with long-term cushioning.
Serdia
Some shoe manufacturers add anti-microbial elements to their footbeds. These help keep the shoes fresh and prevent foot odor by inhibiting the growth of bacteria that produce the unwanted smell. Serdia is a light activated formula to absorb and neutralize footwear odors.

APMA Seal Of Approval
The American Podiatric Medical Association or APMA Seal of Acceptance and Seal of Approval are granted to products found to promote good foot health. To earn the seal, each product is reviewed by a group of APMA podiatrists to ensure it promotes foot health. The committee also looks at information on the product’s safety, quality control, and other data. MBT is proud to say we have earned the APMA Seal of Approval for many of our shoes such as the Boston, Speed 2, Colorado and many more.
